Acupuncture Can Help
The purpose of acupuncture is to create a homeostasis within the body. When muscles are tight there is an abundance of Qui (Energy). By using acupuncture we are able to disperse the energy from the area thus relieving the tension and creating and equilibrium in the body.
The most frequently asked question is "Does it hurt?". Some points you will feel the prick of the needle, while others you won't. With some points there may be an achy feeling which goes away in the first few seconds. Once the needles are in though there should be no pain. Some people do experience areas of their bodies heating and cooling, other experience waves of relaxation. Most describe the experience as being surprisingly relaxing.
